Telecom operators can be now fined Rs 5 lakh on call drop
Up to 5 lakh fine on call drop issue
Now a days call drop has been an big issue on most of the telecom operators in india. Call drop can be caused because of many reasons but the Indian telecom watchdog on Friday announced stricter rules over call drops and said telecom operators who don't meet the norms can be fined at least Rs 5 lakh. This will defenitly makes the Telecom operators to be more aware about the call drop issue and to take the necessary steps to avoid that issue.

This doesn't mean that the Telecom operators should pay the 5 lakhs for the call drop.In the present methodology of assessment of call drops, averaging was being done to evaluate the performance of the network over the entire service area and it was being averaged every month. The regulator said the averaging in effect hides the poorly performing cells.

Anyway lets hope some positive results on this new system introduced by Trai on call drops.
